We spent the last several days in and around Capetown, South Africa. It is a beautiful place, and actually got to do a bit of sight seeing yesterday after church.
We have been staying with the LaRoux family “on the farm” - they have 8 children and a growing ministry that includes outreach to abused/abandoned children, men struggling with drug abuse, women contemplating abortion, and so much more. What a wonderful community of believers - several families living together on this farm and meeting each others and the community’s needs while teaching the word of God. They do so much more that can’t be captured in this brief account. I have been “Uncle Mark” to 8 children these past few days and they truly have the love of Christ radiating from them. What a joy and blessing it has been, especially as I miss my own 2 precious kids.
These are penguins is in the south tip of Capetown, called the boulders - in Simon Town. Pretty cool. Mark says, “Penguins everywhere and they come right up to you. I never thought that they would be in Africa.”
